Medéa Gallery 3/28/09 - In celebration of Women in History Month, Muriel Olguin was honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards on March 28, 2009 at Medéa Gallery. This elegant event recognized Muriel as one of San Pedro’s master artists and community leaders.
The Honorable Bonnie Lowenthal, Assembly Member for the State of California (54th District), Mike Gin, Deputy to LA County Supervisor Don Knabe, and Gordon Teuber, Director of Economic Development for Los Angeles City Council Member Janice Hahn's Office were in attendance.
The official presentation ceremonies honored Muriel Olguin with the State, County & City certificates bestowing a “Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts”.

Special thanks also go to Harold Green (Chapman Stick), Raymond Lee (keyboards) and Rico Espinoza (guitar) - who provided entertainment for the affair. Finally, big "mahalos" go to Random Lengths News, Central San Pedro Neighborhood Council - and to local artist Eric Johnson, who created the beautiful artistic orbs that all attendees signed for Muriel.
